A little history:

JCB, the British company that makes machines for playing big Lego in the real world! Based in Rocester, Staffordshire, it produces over 300 magical machines including backhoes, diggers, tractors and even diesel engines. With 23 factories spread across the globe, JCB is doing the construction dance in Asia, Europe, North and South America. Their products are so popular that they've found their way into more than 150 countries!

Founded in 1945 by Joseph Cyril Bamford, who must have thought, "Why not set up a company with my initials, it has a nice ring to it!", JCB remains in the hands of the Bamford family to this day. In Britain, 'JCB' has become the affectionate term for construction superheroes, excavators and backhoe loaders, and it's even made it into the Oxford English Dictionary.

Note that JC Bamford Excavators is in the list of adventurers operating in territories occupied by the State of Israel in Palestinian territory. You could say that even machines are globetrotters!
